I have recently become a septuagenarian.

A few days after I joined the 70s, I saw this quote on Instagram by a youngish fitness influencer:

"Slow down, you're only 28. Nah bro. I'm already 28."

I've been seeing variations of this language, even substituting the age 22 (huh?!), so I don't know who should get the initial credit for the quote. That said, on this website, I will do a great deal of quoting with attributions, and links to actual studies and books.

I'm not cool enough to use "bro" or other colloquial language, but I can turn around the quote to:

"Slow down, you're 70. No, my friend, I'm only 70."
