Recommendation from JS:

Miles Harter's passion for health is infectious.  If you're not careful, he can change your life.  Mine has improved since we met (two decades ago!) in two key lifestyle behaviors:  nutrition and exercise.  In these areas he's my all around go-to guy to help me parse the evidence-based studies from the hype.  And as my trainer, he has tailored my workouts to fit my goals and abilities.  If you are looking to improve your health using sound science and natural methods, Miles is your guy.

Recommendation from JR:

I recently retired and after years of sitting at a desk most of the day I felt I had to try to wind back the clock a bit from a health and fitness perspective. I found Miles to be the perfect guy to help me do this. His knowledge of fitness technique, nutrition and his emphasis on goal setting and motivation are, to me, the perfect combination in a fitness instructor. Add to that his enthusiasm for his profession and his caring nature and you cannot do better.

Recommendation from JB:

Miles’s knowledge about fitness and exercise proves strong and expansive for all stages of fitness. Miles knew how to tailor my workouts to my prior experience in the gym and suggested new ways to help me move to the next level. He’s very well read and researched on nutrition, fitness and general health, and always discusses the current science before helping to determine a plan that works for you. A marathon runner as well, Miles is himself versatile and understands different paths to physical fitness. While firm, Miles is ever encouraging and knows exactly how to motivate you to push you to your limits. He’s the type of person who inspires you to be better by example and his abundant passion. I strongly recommend Miles as a trainer for those at all comfort levels ready to set up a great foundation for their fitness goals.

Recommendation from RJP:

As I entered my 30s, I felt like it was important to develop healthy fitness goals that extended just beyond exercise. Working with Miles helped me achieve the complete the workout regimen and helped me see results that I knew would help me achieve not only my short term, but long term lifestyle goals. Miles lives what he teaches and is a great example to learn and work with. I am definitely a little lazy when exercising and Miles took the time to understand what motivated me and what I needed so that I could push myself to the next level. Whether it was lifting weights or discussing diet, I felt like Miles was truly invested in my success and helping me develop a program that worked for me. Most trainers I have worked with just spend the time allotted with you and move on, but Miles really spends the extra time with you to ensure you succeed. It is a great feeling!

Recommendation from NA:

I really enjoy working out with Miles. Not only is he knowledgeable in the ways of weights and interval training (among other athletic things), but also he's someone with whom you can feel at ease. As a woman, I've never before felt compelled to hire a male trainer; I feel more comfortable with women. But Miles defies my preconceived notions, alleviating any anxieties and helping me strive to reach and exceed my goals. Kind, friendly and down-to-earth, he's far from a drill sergeant. He's attentive, accessible and approachable. He'll even check in from time to time via text, to hold me accountable. I try not to take advantage of that, though! But it's so appreciated, reminding me when we aren't together at the gym that I owe it to myself to muster the motivation to just MOVE. Beyond fitness, Miles is likewise well versed in nutrition, offering myriad eating tips for me to boost my energy and shed excess weight. Plant-based whole foods seem to be the key to vitality! I'm on my way to a trimmer and more lively me, and he's certainly a part of that overall wellness path. Thanks, Miles!
